Welcome to middle fork kitchen bar.

Chef mark jensen's new restaurant, middle fork kitchen bar (mfkb), offers a comfortably  bold  take on the traditional dining experience.
Inspired by the dynamics of the season, the context of the district, and the enthusiasm of his team, jensen combines ingredients, cuisines, and a appreciation for the craft for a fun and delicious result.

The restaurant space itself is equally unique.  With few walls and a highly visible open kitchen, jensen and the talented team at mfkb, have created a sense of transparency. See the flow, eat, drink, enjoy.

The restaurant’s name is a tip of the hat to the great elkhorn river, the middle fork of the elkhorn to be exact.  We call it the town branch, here in lexington. This little stretch of water is what our beautiful town was originally founded on way back in 1775.

From chef jensen's  lauded mobile food galley "fork in the road" to this new brick & mortar endeavor on the banks of the middle fork, the work of careful craftsmanship and hospitality continues.  Please come join us.

We like to think that our plates are sharable.  In our minds, nothing is more fun than ordering for the table.
You not only get to enjoy a variety of dishes, you get to create your own experience.
Order a little of this, a bit more of that, oh, and more of that please! Go for it!
